Generation Wealth is an independent personal finance hub in Spain that produces content on saving, investing, and money management. We help readers understand how money works, compare financial options, and make smarter financial decisions with confidence. Financial planning can be confusing, and our mission is to show that anyone can take control of their money and grow their wealth in Spain and beyond.
Because we aren’t affiliated with banks or financial institutions, we cover topics that often get overlooked—such as product comparisons, FIRE (financial independence, retiring early), bitcoin, and alternative wealth building.
We began building the Generation Wealth hub after moving to Spain in mid-2025, navigating the local nuances of banking, investing, and starting a business, along with everyday life requirements (aka. adulting).
As a Spaniard and an immigrant from Australia, we found that much of the information we needed either wasn’t there or was scattered across the internet—making it hard to make sense of. That’s where the idea started: to build a one-stop resource for both local Spaniards and (would-be or current) residents of Spain, helping them make informed everyday financial decisions.

Grete Suarez | Co-Founder
Grete is a financial and technology journalist who co-founded Generation Wealth to help people make smarter decisions about personal finance and investing in Spain. With experience at Quartz, CNN, Fox Business, Yahoo Finance, Goldman Sachs, and Deloitte, she brings a unique mix of media, finance, and research expertise. Grete holds a master’s in Journalism from Columbia University, an MBA from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and a degree in Economics from the University of New South Wales.
Alejandro Suarez Lozano | Co-Founder
Alejandro Suarez Lozano is a co-founder of Generation Wealth, shaping the platform to be visually engaging and user-friendly. With a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid and a specialization in Graphic Design and New Media, he has created branded and web content for prestigious companies like Alibaba, PayPal, and Mastercard, and collaborated with Hollywood studios on web projects aimed for platforms such us Netflix, Prime, Disney, and HBO Max.
